Biography

Dave started learning the clarinet at age 7 and has since become proficient on saxophone, flute, guitar and drums.  He graduated with a first-class degree in music, specialising in saxophone performance and jazz composition, and has spent many years performing in professional function bands across the south east and beyond

Dave has been privileged to study with some world class saxophonists, and has all the skills needed to guarantee top quality live entertainment.  With the experience of thousands of gigs already under his belt, Dave is comfortable performing nearly any style, in any setting.

He’s an extremely engaging and charismatic performer who loves to get involved with the crowd, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Dave graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in music in 2008 from “Christ Church University” in Canterbury.  He learnt a great deal from many people there (both tutors and fellow students) and would like to pay special tribute to his instrumental & vocal tutors David Campbell, Reneé Salewski and Philip Eve.  He was awarded the Rickards Memorial Prize for Outstanding Contribution to Improvised Music later that year.

Currently, Dave is a peripatetic music tutor and performs as a sax soloist and also with a variety of bands and DJs across the South East and beyond.  With an ambition to continue to learn and improve, Dave has studied with world renowned tenor saxophonists Paul Booth (Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Jamiroquai, The Eagles) and Bob Reynolds (Usher, John Mayer, Snarky Puppy, The Voice).
